Project Description
As part of NSW School Infrastructure ongoing accessibility upgrades, elevators and stair lifts are being rolled out.
VOS Group has been engaged to co-ordinate and document the power, lighting, communication and security package associated with the installation.
Several challenges were presented in this project in terms of:
• Co-ordination with concurrent upgrades happening on the site (new multi-purpose hall and classroom building).
• Recent changes to AS3000 Wiring Rules in relation to power supply requirements for lifts
• Existing school infrastructure which had not been upgraded since the original school construction (1968-69).
