VOS Group are responsible for reviewing and providing options for the replacement of the existing air conditioning systems. This has involved evaluating various Air Conditioning options to provide both energy efficiencies and minimal disruption to the shopping centre operation. The approved systems will then be documented for tender pricing.
This has involved whole of life considerations (initial plant capital cost, building and installation costs as well as on-going operational and maintenance costs) for air-cooled split and packaged systems as well as an air-cooled chiller water option. Replacement of the existing refrigerant (M50) has also been investigated.
Staging and long-term programming of the up-grade have been considered to minimise any disruption to the centres operation. The existing base building air conditioning systems currently involve three off rooftop plant rooms with two or three systems per plantroom providing a total of 700 kW of cooling. This is also supplemented with an additional three off split systems (110 kW total) serving a dedicated tenancy and also multiple tenant systems.
